One of the Fondation Villa Seurat’s artist laureates for 2018-2019, Thilleli Rahmoun, initiated a project with children and teenagers studying at a school in La Cruz, Medellin (Columbia).
In the video here you will notice the children’s and teachers’ enthusiasm, albeit the fact that the usual environment in which they live and learn did not prepare them for such kind of an activity. The Fondation’s financing triggered a triple effect. First, the creation of the murals by the pupils did call upon their creativity. Second, a radio talk show gave an extra resonance to the project and insisted on the importance of art for the wellbeing and education of children. Finally, the school Director decided to create a new art curriculum at the school why gave an other dimension to the Fondation’s action.
