The Board of Directors of the Fondation Villa Seurat is pleased to announce the winner of the 2023 call for projects. The jury, composed of N’Goné Fall, Thierry Forien, Juliette Frescaline, Martin Kiefer and Sophie Nordmann, selected the work of Golnaz Afraz to create the piece that will be unveiled in 2023 and permanently exhibited at the Maison des étudiants de la Francophonie, Cité internationale universitaire de Paris.

Golnaz Afraz was born in Iran, studied painting at Azad University in Tehran and continued her studies in Strasbourg until 2010. Since then, she lives and works in France. She has exhibited her work regularly in France and abroad. Her work has already received a first prize, Saatchi Art, in Los Angeles in 2015.
The competition was of a high standard with more than 150 entries. A big thank you to all the artists who participated.
