INVITATION – Saturday 9 June 2018 from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Anne-Lise Sibony and Catherine Kessedjian are delighted to invite you to a festive fundraising event for the benefit of the Fondation Villa Seurat. Four artists will present their work : Lucile Bertrand, Gundi Falk, Bernd Kleinheisterkamp et Célestin Pierret.

The event will take place in Brussels. RSVP before 1st June 2018.
The exact address will be sent to you after you have registered.

You will admire and possibly buy the works by Lucile Bertrand, Gundi Falk, Bernd Kleinheisterkamp, Célestin Pierret.

The visual artist Lucile Bertrand lives and works in Brussels since 2001. She exhibits regularly in Europe, the US and South Korea. She usually splits her time and mind between large-scale site-specific installations and studio-made pieces. She works with a large range of materials, depending on what any projects will induce.

Austrian artist living in Brussels, Gundi Falk has for many years created a resolutely personal work, away from fashions and trends, from painting to drawing, from sculpture to installation, from photography to painting, exploring the possibilities of mediums and disciplines which she decompartmentalizes. Her work has been regularly exhibited in Europe and US.

Bernd Kleinheisterkamp (born in 1973 in Münster, Germany) lives and works in Brussels since 2007. His research as a photographer always brings together the formal aspect and the human approach. Photographing means living something. The BRASIL series is the attempt to build an abstract image through concrete representation.

Célestin Pierret is a poet-carpenter: he makes doors through which jump heroes of tragedies, hesitating between the imaginary and the real. From the raw beech wood submitted to the gouge of Celestin Pierret emerge unfinished beings that haunt memories since the dawn of art. Through the spaces and voids that reveal their background, the bodies evolve and seem to hesitate between dissolving into space or filling themselves with matter.

There will be three or four musical sessions by O’Tchalaï Music and songs from the Balkans and tsiganes.
Monique Gelders —Voice and accordion
Pascale Trussart —Violine and voice
Alexandre Furnelle —Double Bass and voice
